In season six of A Taste of History, Chef Staib takes viewers on a tour of his own City Tavern Restaurant in Philadelphia and goes back home to the Black Forest to cook with his mom. In this season, Chef Staib travels to the China to cook Sichuan Cuisine, to St. Lucia to cook on the beach and to Grenada, the island of spices, tracing the ties of international cuisine to American culinary heritage. He takes to the waters at the Jefferson Pools and cooks Virginia cuisine, visits Revolutionary War battlefields Ft. Mifflin and Ft. Mercer, where he stews up Pot au Feu and Cannonball Punch, and learns tactics of war from General Hand along with a tribute to Irish cuisine.
