Hand made by Gloria Staib

During the colonial era, women and girls wore mob caps. They are a part of the uniform at City Tavern for all female waitstaff and were a required wardrobe item for all women in the 18th century.

A mob cap protected a woman’s hair from dust when she went outside and from smoke and grease when she was indoors.

This is perfect for your next costume party, trip to a Colonial community, reenactment, play or dress up!
